Welcoming in 2017's Fall

Fall is my favorite time of the year (I think I say that everytime I post about it), and I was thrilled to start decorating early this year. I wanted to show you a sneak peek of our home decor for the autumn season.

We've been having an Indian summer, but I am thankful to see the leaves finally starting to change at the tops of our trees.

Take a peek!

Our dining room just underwent a makeover, and the rooster chicken decor is old news. We tried to update the room to a chic farmhouse look, and added fall colors to the mix.

The window greenery was replaced with a fall wreath, and the milk bottle centerpiece had some wheat and fall flowers added.
My favorite piece! This flower box has fall foliage bundled into 3 mason jars and placed inside a small crate. We added a couple pumpkins in the front of the crate to tie the colors together.

We kept the white canisters and twined leaf garland around them. On the second shelf of the hutch, we added a couple more autumnal canisters next to a wooden sign reading "bountiful harvest" and put our fruit basket on the bottom shelf.
There is also a fireplace in the dining room and we placed a wooden slat with a wreath and monogram hanging in the center. We also displayed our fall leaf swag in the front of the slat with a small autumnal sign. We added a tiny crate of miniature pumpkins spilling out and a lantern on top of a doily.
On the shelf next to the window we added a sign I had handpainted, along with some antique books stacked to hold 2 plastic pumpkins.

In the living room, we added a few decorations here and there.

Our living room shelves held our sunflower swag and black kettle full of flowers.

At the coffee station in the kitchen, we added seasonal flair.

Another vase of flowers and leaf accents around the cream and sugar.

Of course, we erased our chalkboard artwork and drew some new seasonal quotes and drawings.

Happy fall, y'all!
