Tidal Wave Trinket Dish

This Summer, I was able to travel down to Mexico to visit for a few weeks! Of course, I couldn't leave the beach without bringing home those perfect shells I'd found!

I claimed this extra large clam shell as a souvenir and turned it into a trinket dish!

I hand painted one of Mexico's tidal waves! I just used different shades of blue and dots of white to create the foamy look to the wave. After it had dried, I spritzed the shell with a bit of gloss spray to preserve the paint and prevent it from getting scratched. This glossy spray is located in the same aisle as other cans of spray paint. :)
