Homemade Hamburger Helper
Here's another recipe for ya:
Homemade Hamburger Helper. Well actually, it's more like Cheesburger Helper.
It's Oh So Cheesy!
We make it all the time at our house... it's so good . . . and homemade! This is the perfect recipe for the little ones in your house.
The Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef (Those cows are grass-fed, by the way)
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. Onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/4 cup tomato sauce
1 hefty squirt of mustard
1 3/4 cups of water
2 1/2 cups of pasta
2 cups of shredded cheese. (We use Fresh Amish cheese... Yum!)
The Recipe:
1. Brown and drain the beef.
2. Stir in the pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, tomato sauce, and mustard.
3. Pour in the water and pasta.
4. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat.
5. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the water is absorbed and the pasta is cooked. If the water is absorbed before the pasta is cooked, add a little more water.
6. Turn off the heat off and stir in the cheese!

You can serve any remaining cheese on the table to be sprinkled on the dish, but I like to all the cheese in!
Cheese Heaven.
So there you have it, Homemade Cheeseburger Helper.
You can taste that mustard and ketchup and then the cheesy taste comes... Oh my, it sure is good!
